About me:
I started falling in love with drums since the day I could walk basically, hence my father being a drummer as well. There always was a drumset or some sort of percussion around for me to bash on; drove my parents insane with pots, pans, wooden spoons you name it.
The day that I started loving metal was when I first heard “Master of Puppets” from Metallica and saw Lars Ulrich play his humongous kit, that was the day I really knew that metal would become my passion. Started taking lessons from the age of 12 in all kinds of musical styles, but there was always the adrenaline rush with fat heavy guitars, playing as loud and powerful as I can.
I have played in multiple bands, but the progressive death metal band Mirdyn is the one to mention. Unfortunately, I was forced to leave Mirdyn in 2009, since it was no longer combinable with work. However, the love for playing music regained a couple years later and in early 2015 I started out with a jam session with Kevin and Rens. This was the beginning of the beast which would become Nephylim as we know it today.
Besides a drummer I’m also a sound engineer, doing live bands and studio work as well. Love spending time with my lovely girlfriend, video/ board games, watching movies, collecting vinyl records, appreciating good food, beers/wines and whiskey’s and having a good laugh/making noise with my Nephylim boys!
